Harvard College and most of the graduate schools have student organizations that bring students together to share topics of mutual interest. These groups often serve as an important supplement to course work by sponsoring social events and lectures. Student organizations are affiliated with a particular school at Harvard. Although many of them welcome the participation of students from other schools, some only allow membership from within that particular school.
