Prepare for Tax Season
It’s time to start preparing to file your taxes. This update provides important information about paying taxes in the U.S., the documents you’ll need, and additional helpful resources.
Filing Your Tax Return

You will need to file at least one tax form with the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) if you spent any part of 2025 in the U.S. with an immigration status other than B or WT/WB (ESTA/Visa Waiver).

Tax forms must be submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by April 15, 2026.

The HIO will provide you with access to Sprintax Returns tax preparation software to help you navigate the process.

Look for another email from the HIO in mid- to late-February with more information on accessing Sprintax.
