Public Libraries
The public library in each community provides a wide variety of resource information and special programs for residents. Lectures and film series of general interest for adults are often scheduled. In addition, most public libraries include a children's section with a play area next to the reading tables, and facilities for listening to recordings. Children's film series and other activities are often available. To apply for a library card one must show proof of residence in that town by showing a rent receipt or a telephone or electric bill. To find the nearest public library near you search the Massachusetts Library Directory web site: http://www.mlin.lib.ma.us/libraries/directory/index.php
