Orientation

The HIO holds an orientation called "Getting Started" for students and scholars every other week throughout the year and during the month of August it holds them twice a week. Also during this same month we offer orientations for spouses and walking tours (register in advance for tours) once a week. Please check the schedule for further information.

In addition, each school within Harvard University offers an orientation for all new students at the beginning of each fall semester (and in some cases, at the beginning of the spring semester as well). The HIO participates in most of the orientation sessions. Each school should send students detailed information about their own orientation programs.

The HIO co-sponsors with the Freshman Dean's Office an orientation program for international freshman undergraduate students called The Freshman International Program (FIP).
